This 1967 structure also known as the Women's dorm, houses 464 female students.
The Lucille Clement Resident Hall is believed to be haunted by several spirits, one being that of a young boy who died in an elevator several years back.
This young boy inherited the nickname, Marble Boy because he likes to drop his marbles on the floor of the rooms in the dorm. Telling him to stop only angers him & then he drops all his marbles on the floor.
Another young boy said to be the son of one of the janitors was playing on the roof of the building when he got to close to the edge. He then fell 5 stories to his death.
There has also been numerous reports from students claiming to see a young boy looking out a dorm window at night as if he's watching to see if anyone is coming.
There have been multiple reports of students' TVs turning off & on, channels changing by itself, & water faucets turning off & on.
Two students reported a bottle of soda went flying through the air for no reason at all!
Three students claim they have seen Lucy standing over them at night while trying to sleep. Lucy is a female spirit that roams the halls.
There have also been reports of elevator doors opening and closing when no one is on it and the elevator will often go to the 2ND floor no matter which button you push.
There's also claims of seeing a man who will vanish after speaking.
Some believe a lot of the activity is from those who were killed in the plane crash near the Lucille Clements parking lot on January 16Th, 1985.
News reporters claimed that the only thing the inexperienced pilot did right was to nose dive the twin engine Cessna face first into the parking lot in order to prevent crashing into the Lucille Clements Hall & killing innocent students.
None of the three passengers aboard the plane survived.
It's believed that their spirits not only haunt Lucille Clements Hall, but also the grounds of ETSU

This 100 year old building named SG Gilbreath Hall is named after Sidney Gilbreath, founder & former President of East Tennessee State University.
The SG, Gilbreath Hall is filled with classrooms, labs, & also the Bud Frank Theater. Mr Gilbreath started building the ETSU campus over 100 years ago. He has since inherited the nickname, Uncle Sid. All though Uncle Sid passed away nearly 50 years ago, he refuses to leave the school.
Uncle Sid was a very strict president & many believe that Mr Gilbreath still walks the The SG Gilbreath Hall enforcing his rules.
It's been reported by several students & faculty staff, since Uncle Sid's death on January 6TH 1961, his image has been seen in the hallways throughout the building.
It is said that Uncle Sid is more active during an approaching thunderstorm & that he will close all open windows & doors in the building.
There have been reports, not only from students & faculty staff, but also from those just visiting the campus, claiming that the windows and doors have opened & shut by themselves on clear nights. Those who have witnessed this event claim they have seen a shadow figure passing by the windows that had either just opened or closed.
Some have claimed they have heard disembodied voices of a man giving them orders to get to class.
There have been reports of ghostly activity in almost every building on the ETSU campus, But Burleson Hall has some very interesting claims that sets this building apart from all the others.
This building is said to be haunted by Christina Burleson who was an English professor that taught Shakespeare at ETSU for around 40 years.
Christina developed a debilitating disease that ran in her family. This disease eventually required her to be stricken to a wheelchair. Mrs. Bruleson, feeling she was a burden to everyone, committed suicide in 1967.
There have been several reports from students claiming they have seen the spirit of an older lady follow them around in the halls.
Some claim they have experienced sudden, unexplained cold spots and feeling a presence of someone with them while alone in different areas of the building.
In the hallways, there hangs a portrait of Cristina's Father, David Sinclair Burleson who was also a professor at ETSU. He is believed to have possessed the picture that still resides in the building today and it is claimed his eyes will follow you as you walk. Everyone that has seen Mr Burleson, or other pictures of him, claim they are not his eyes. but the eyes of his daughter, Christina.
It is said that Mrs Burleson Killed herself in the halls of the English Department, but when we researched this story we discovered that Christina Burleson shot herself in the master bedroom where she lived.
Whether or not it is the ghost of Christina Burleson that haunts the Burleson Hall, there is most definitely a spirit in that building that does!
